ICP offers free job listings to distributors
The Industrial Careers Pathway, the North American workforce initiative supported by an alliance of ASA, ISA Education Foundation, NAHAD and the PTDA Foundation, offers free job listings for distributors and manufacturers.
The goal of ICP is to promote career opportunities in the field of industrial distribution. The ICP Employer Database, available on the ICP website at www.industrialcareerspathway.org/Work/Employer-Search, includes information on all distributor and manufacturer members of ICP Alliance Partner associations: ASA, ISA, NAHAD and PTDA.
The database is searchable by company name; headquarters or branch; manufacturer or distributor; product type; zip code with range; and state or province. ICP is promoting this database to the target audience of 18-34 year olds as a way to find companies near them. We suggest they use the ICP website to find local industrial distributors and manufacturers, and then access that particular company’s website. Once they reach the company’s website, they can learn about industrial products, company culture and check if there are any current job openings. ICP also suggests setting up an informational interview where they can ask various questions about the field and possible future opportunities.
Through the collective support of Alliance Partners and their member companies, ICP is devoted to building awareness among the 18-34 year old audience about the incredibly rewarding careers available in industrial distribution. The Employer Database on the ICP website is just one more way we are using to get the word out.
