Turtle & Hughes names new president

Turtle & Hughes Inc. named Richard (Rick) Reffler president.


Rick RefflerReffler joined the company in 1996 and has served in several leadership positions, most recently, as executive vice president and member of the executive committee.

“Rick is a progressive and innovative thinker with a proven track record of success and leadership. He has extensive electrical industry experience and, for 17 years, has made a tremendous impact on our organization,” said Jayne Millard, chief executive officer. “There is no one more deserving of this title.”

Reffler joined Turtle & Hughes as manager of its Plainfield, N.J., branch, after serving as officer and part owner of Northern Electric Supply Co. in South Plainfield, N.J. He grew the Plainfield branch into one of the company’s first successful construction and counter sales operation. Soon after, he assumed the additional responsibilities of Bridgewater Branch Manager. There, he merged the company’s electrical and industrial operations. He then developed and managed the Bridgewater Central Distribution Center, including logistics and purchasing, and renovated the large facility to better service customers in the Northeast.

Based in Linden, N.J., Turtle & Hughes serves the industrial, commercial, utility, integrated supply and contractor markets from 17 locations nationwide. It has sales exceeding $550 million and over 700 employees.
