AMMEGA invests $100 million in Ammeraal Beltech, Megadyne facilities

AMMEGA—a global provider of belting solutions for conveying and power transmission—recently invested $100 million to boost U.S. production, warehousing, and innovation. The company's dedication to American manufacturing is reflected in its state-of-the-art facilities and in its ability to provide hands-on support, customized solutions, and ensure supply chain consistency and business agility.

The $100M investment to expand production and service capabilities was broken down between AMMEGA’s brands: Ammeraal Beltech, the only supplier of conveyor belts with full production in the U.S., and Megadyne, a driver of American innovation in power transmission belting. The investment supported a state-of-the-art conveyor manufacturing facility in Buford, Georgia, which now localizes innovation at an on-site technical solutions center and offers full production. The substantial investment also went toward an expansion of a modular conveying products manufacturing facility in Reading, Pennsylvania, that adds local molding, assembly and more than double the warehouse capacity to help customers optimize inventory.

With this investment, AMMEGA plans to harness local expertise to help customers increase uptime, meet high standards in cleanliness, as well as design custom belt/chain components for unusual product handling challenges. Moreover, the investment has allowed facilities to expand customization capabilities and reduce lead times, as well as expand resources at six customer solution centers to enable faster service.
