Grainger October sales up 6 percent
Grainger reported sales for the month of October increased 6 percent versus October 2013.
Results for the month included a 1 percentage point contribution from acquisitions and a 2 percentage point decline from unfavorable foreign exchange. Organic sales increased 7 percent driven by 6 percentage points of volume growth and a 1 percentage point contribution from sales of Ebola-related safety products.
Sales in the United States increased by 7 percent, while sales in Canada were up 2 percent (10 percent in local currency). Sales to other business were up by 16 percent (23 percent in local currencies).
