Chicago Fed National Activity Index rises
The Chicago Fed National Activity Index increased to +0.14 in September from +0.13 in August.
The index’s three-month moving average increased to –0.03 in September from –0.15 in August, marking its seventh consecutive reading below zero. September’s reading suggests that growth in national economic activity was slightly below its historical trend.
