Caldwell and J.C. Renfroe announce merger

The Caldwell Group and J.C. Renfroe have merged to create an organization capable of providing a significantly broader array of lifting solutions to its global customers.

Caldwell, a U.S. manufacturer of below-the-hook lifting equipment, and Renfroe, a U.S. manufacturer of plate clamp lifting equipment, combined to form an organization based on well recognized brands and years of first-hand application experience in a variety of industries.

“This is a great opportunity for two strong companies, with well recognized brands to partner together,” said Caldwell president, Doug Stitt. “We are very proud and excited to be a part of Renfroe’s future.”

An employee-owned company, Caldwell is based in Rockford, Ill.

J.C. Renfroe, based in Jacksonville, Fla., will continue to operate as an independent operation under the J.C. Renfroe name and will also become an employee owned company.

“This is a great opportunity for the Renfroe employees who have built this organization to help continue the Renfroe name and brand but now with ownership in the company’s future operations and success,” said Ron Raymond, Renfroe’s managing director.
