GHX acquires McCarty Equipment Co.
GHX Industrial announced the acquisition of McCarty Equipment Company, a distributor of hoses, fittings, valves and other products through 15 branches located in the U.S. and Edmonton, Canada.
Headquartered in Houston, GHX is a fabricator and supplier of industrial fluid transfer and sealing products. GHX currently operates 24 locations throughout the U.S. With this acquisition, GHX will have 39 locations and increase its presence in major oil and gas exploration and production areas in the U.S. and Canada.
"The addition of McCarty to our company is a major step for us," said GHX chief executive officer Dan Ahuero. "The McCarty acquisition significantly adds to our presence in the major U.S. upstream oil and gas markets and marks our expansion into the Canadian energy industry. We believe that these markets will experience outstanding growth in the coming years."
Ahuero said McCarty will continue to operate under the same name.
"CEO Kelly McCarty has built a very successful company with a strong customer base by providing superior service and by opening new locations to support customers' growth into new areas," he said.
According to McCarty, "Joining forces with GHX enables us to continue the rapid growth of our business as new oil and gas markets open across the U.S. and will provide us with access to new products to support our customers."
