Tribute launches TrulinX 11.1

Tribute Inc. announced the launch of TrulinX 11.1 to further streamline distributors' business processes.

Based on industry trends and customer requests, the latest version of the Windows SQL-based ERP solution features new inventory adjustment reason codes, greater flexibility with multiple vendor item versions, inbound freight expense features, and more. These enhancements allow industrial distributors to increase profitability by automating business processes and increasing knowledge of business operations and performance.

"The staff at Tribute continues to listen to their customers and improve the software to make our jobs easier and faster," said Newt Clark, president of Faxon Engineering, a distributor of Eaton hydraulic and pneumatic hose and fittings. "Our old software company didn't have the industry specific knowledge and key features TrulinX has that saves us a tremendous amount of time, like integration with Eaton's Point-of-Sales reporting and rebate system. Calculating rebates and posting reports used to take me 4-5 hours each month, and now I can do it in 10 minutes." Clark also cites the automation of purchasing as a big time saver. "I spent four hours a day on purchasing, and now it's less than an hour."

Eric Bourg, IT manager of Connector Specialists, a Parker Fluid Connector and Automation distributor with branches throughout Louisiana and Mississippi, participated in the TrulinX beta testing process. Said Bourg, "We are really looking forward to the new release. It should make it much easier to do business with our primary supply chain partner (Parker), particularly via EDI. I anticipate significant time savings and ease of communication with suppliers by using the new multiple vendor item feature."

"The release of TrulinX version 11.1 reaffirms Tribute's commitment to encourage and utilize input from our customers and provide tools they deem relevant," said Susie Hopper, vice president of Tribute's TrulinX division. "The focus of TrulinX Release 11.1 is on helping distributor's business processes become leaner and more efficient. Features have been added to address a distributor's day-to-day issues proactively to enhance process quality and communication with suppliers."

Highlights of the new features found in TrulinX version 11.1 include:

  • Allowing distributors to specify an unlimited number of UOM and price combinations, which eliminates the need to convert all parts to one standard configuration and significantly reduces manual conversions and double entry of EDI orders.Providing distributors complete control to handle all combinations of freight billing and absorption at the point of order entry and at shipment confirmation, thereby reducing the number of costly invoice corrections due to freight errors and allowing distributors to make the decision whether or not to absorb inbound or outbound freight depending on how it affects tax consequences, sales commission, whether the customer or vendor is responsible for the freight, etc.
  • Addition of a reason code to invoice corrections process, which gives the distributor the ability to categorize variances at the beginning of the correction process, drastically reducing the time required to audit the transactions in the back office.
  • TrulinX Mobile, a privately-branded mobile solution integrated with TrulinX, now offers Customer Connect, a customer portal that allows a distributor's customers to check order status, quote status, recent shipments, purchase history and more.
