Fastenal August sales up 9.8%
Fastenal reported that its August sales grew by 9.8 percent to $326.9 million.
Daily sales averaged $15.5 million, which was 15 percent higher than $13.5 million in the same month last year. Daily sales to manufacturing customers grew by 14 percent, while sales to non-residential construction customers were up by 9.4 percent.
The company opened two stores during the month and currently has a total of 2,686 store locations. As of the end of August, Fastenal had 18,210 employees, which is 12.4 percent higher than the same time last year.
