IBC announced today that Dan Burnham is resigning as president to pursue other career interests.
Burnham began his career as executive vice president for IBC when the alliance of industrial, bearing & power transmission, electrical, safety, and sub-assembly services distributors was founded, and later became president.
"IBC appreciates Dan's contributions and wishes him the best in his future endeavors," according to a statement issued by the organization.
IBC said a new leadership team consisting of chief operating officer Ron Nunez, vice president of sales Rob Levine, and vice president of IBC's industrial division Rich Poole will lead the company into the future. "Rob and Rich bring significant industry management experience to the leadership team, and Ron has played a leadership role at IBC since 2001. These leaders will create a synergistic leadership team to strategically position IBC for continued growth for our manufacturer and distributor stakeholders," the statement said.
Nunez said 2011 is on track to be a record year for IBC, and that enhanced technology and a Lean Six Sigma process improvement system are being planned for 2012.
"Both the technology and systems are designed to support our new and existing end-user contract business. What is most exciting is the fact that 93% of our national contract business is new business for our distributors. This is how we help independents thrive in their local and regional markets and add real value to the end-user," he said.
IBC members represent more than 640 locations and total sales in excess of $3.0 billion.
