IBT names new president
Merriam, Kansas-based industrial distributor IBT announced the promotion of Mark Byrne as president and chief executive officer.
"Mark has been a tremendous addition to the IBT executive team. He has proven himself not only by his own actions, but with his ability to lead and develop the individuals around him," said IBT chairman Steve Cloud.
Byrne began his career with IBT as vice president of sales and marketing in February, 2008. He joined IBT with more than 25 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments, holding various senior management positions at Ralston Purina, Purina Mills, Con Agra, Siemens, John Deere and Premium Protein Products.
While at Premium Protein Products, Byrne was an IBT customer. "Since joining IBT, his first-hand perspective as a former customer reinforces identifying and understanding the needs of industrial workers and facilities," according to a prepared statement.
Stephen Cloud will continue to be active within the organization and will serve as IBT's Chairman of the Board.
