ITW sales up 16 percent
Illinois Tool Works Inc. said revenue increased 16% for the past three months.
Acquisitions contributed 3% to top-line growth. The company said its worldwide end markets continued to look relatively stable in the month of July.
The transportation segment had the largest increase at 29%, followed by power systems and electronics (23.1%) and industrial packaging (18.1%).
The diversified industrial products manufacturer forecasts third quarter revenue growth of 9% to 13%, and forecasts full-year growth in the range of 11% to 13%.
