ASA joins ICP
Industrial Careers Pathway announced its newest ICP Alliance Partner, American Supply Association (ASA).
ASA joins current ICP’s Alliance Partners, NAHAD – the Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution, ISA Educational Foundation and the PTDA Foundation. ASA is the national organization serving wholesale distributors and their suppliers in the plumbing, heating, cooling (PHCP) and industrial and mechanical pipe, valves and fittings (PVF) industries.
Michael Adelizzi, executive vice president of ASA, believes partnership with ICP will help his association’s members with one of their toughest challenges, building awareness of the incredibly rewarding careers in their industry.
“Industrial distribution offers a wide range of career paths, from sales to warehouse operations, from finance to marketing to management. Yet, our industry, like others in distribution management, struggles to connect with quality individuals that can benefit from a long career in industrial distribution. The American Supply Association saw a partnership with ICP as a way to help our industry connect with our industry’s future workforce,” he said.
Through the collective support of Alliance Partners and their member companies, ICP is devoted to building awareness among the elusive 18-34 year old audience about careers available in industrial distribution. Recent endeavors include video clips providing advice on finding a job in industrial distribution, an industry-specific ICP Job Board demonstrating that industrial distributors are hiring, and a website designed to attract the target 18-34 year old audience with information on careers in the field of industrial distribution.
