Motion and Flow Control buys MD Hose and Fittings

Motion and Flow Control Products acquired MD Hose and Fittings LLC of Sidney, Mont.

The acquisition gives MFCP its first location in the Bakken Oil Field, a 200,000-square-mile shale formation stretching through North Dakota and Montana.

Motion and Flow Control Products serves industrial customers in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington and California. It is a distributor of fluid connectors, fluid power equipment, instrumentation products and seals supporting OEM and maintenance and repair (MRO), operating 23 ParkerStores throughout 11 western states.

“MD Hose and Fittings focused on industrial hose, hydraulic hose and fittings,” said John Niemi, president and CEO of Motion and Flow Control Products. “But now we’ll also be able to serve OEM and MRO customers with direct access to the Parker industrial products, along with complementary product offerings and factory-trained personnel.”

Randy Iversen, owner of MD Hose and Fittings, will remain with the company after the acquisition, serving as branch manager. “We are excited about the opportunities of joining MFCP,” Iversen said. “Being a part of MFCP will allow us to expand our business and better penetrate the market in this key oil and gas market.”

Investment firm Colville Capital created Motion and Flow Control Products after acquiring McCoy Sales in 2006, Fluid Connector Products in 2011 and American Hose and Fittings in 2012.
