Record attendance at IWDC convention

The Independent Welding Distributors Cooperative (IWDC) enjoyed record attendance at its Sales & Purchasing Convention as 124 member companies and 108 vendor partners – totaling over 600 participants – gathered to focus on growth June 18–20 in Indianapolis.

This year's "Back Home Again" theme was a hit, from the Sunday evening opening reception at the J.W. Marriott downtown Indianapolis to Tuesday afternoon's Trade Show and Booth Party held at the Convention Center. Member-Vendor relationships were strengthened during numerous networking events, and IWDC's traditional Vendor Show Specials brought significant savings to Members and multi-millions in sales to participating Vendors.

"Members enjoyed our warehouse tour combined with training and Vendor Demo Day," said Director of Marketing & Gas Program Vic Wilson.

"We thank our Vendor Partners for their support and our Members for their record level of participation," commented Keith Werkley, IWDC Vice President of Sales & Vendor Management. "Our generous attendees helped us raise $25,500 that will go towards our yearlong campaign supporting the Travis Mills Foundation," stated IWDC CEO Frank Kasnick.

The IWDC is a cooperative formed in 1994, which leverages the strengths of its independent welding distributor members across North America. The Travis Mills Foundation supports post-911 recalibrated veterans and their families through various programs that help those heroic men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation.
