Jergens Industrial acquires Gray Industrial Supply
Jergens Industrial Supply, Division of Jergens Inc., has acquired certain assets of Gray Industrial Supply and its Internet-based business Spectrum Supply.
The acquisition does not include Gray's high-pressure hydraulic equipment distribution business and service center.
Gray Industrial Supply was incorporated in 1946 and supplies the global market with a full range of band saw blades for the industrial, food processing and hobby markets. Spectrum Supply is the web-based marketing arm of Gray Industrial Supply.
“By combining JIS and Gray Industrial Supply, we will be able to pull from the experience, knowledge and relationships both companies have within the saw blade marketplace to better serve manufacturing end users not only in northeast Ohio, but nationwide,” said Matt Schron, JIS general manager. “The purchase also gives JIS the opportunity to improve customer efficiency and experience by providing blade turnaround in 48 hours.”
“As part of JIS we now have access to the leading manufacturers in the country of cutting tools, MRO supplies, vending solutions, work holding and coolants, allowing us to better and more completely serve our customers," said Ken Brown Jr., Gray Industrial.
Spectrum Supply will continue to serve as the web-based marketing arm for JIS and Gray Industrial Supply for the foreseeable future.
