Grainger posts May sales gain
Grainger reported sales results for the month of May increased 5 percent versus May 2012.
The increase included 3 percentage points from volume, 2 percentage points from price and 1 percentage point from acquisitions, partially offset by a 1 percentage point decline from unfavorable foreign exchange. Sales in the United States increased by 6%, sales in Canada were up by 1% (2% in local currency) and sales to other businesses gained 10%.
