Sherwin-Williams acquires Becker Acroma
The Sherwin-Williams Company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Becker Acroma Industrial Wood Coatings, a subsidiary of AB Wilh. Becker, based in Sweden.
The transaction, subject to certain regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the third quarter.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Becker Acroma is a manufacturer of industrial wood coatings and a technology leader in water, UV, and other wood coatings.
Becker Acroma wood coatings serve the joinery, kitchen cabinet, furniture, and flooring markets directly and through distributors.
Becker Acroma has more than 900 employees and annual sales of approximately $300 million.
Becker Acroma currently operates nine manufacturing facilities, 19 mixing sites and 13 technical centers in Europe, Asia and North America. Becker Acroma joins Sherwin-Williams' Global Finishes Group.
