Airgas opens new Utah facility
Airgas celebrated the opening of its new 20,000 square foot specialty gas facility in Tooele, Utah with a ribbon cutting ceremony and guided tours of the building.
The facility will provide high-purity and precision-blended specialty gases used in research and commercial laboratories, environmental monitoring, and manufacturing.
Made possible in part by a post-performance Economic Development Tax Increment Finance (EDTIF) incentive awarded by the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development, the new facility will result in 25 full-time jobs.
"By expanding our specialty gas footprint in Utah, we are able to increase our capacity to serve our customers throughout the Western states, while also investing in and bringing jobs to the region," said Michael L. Molinini, Airgas president and chief executive officer. "Airgas is very proud to be joining the community of Tooele, and we look forward to successful partnerships with the residents, businesses and civic associations of the region for many years to come."
