Turtle & Hughes acquires Mid-Island Electrical

Linden, N.J.-based Turtle & Hughes has acquired Mid-Island Electrical Supply, a full-service distributor of electrical products.


Mid-Island will continue to operate as a branch of Turtle & Hughes, under the Mid-Island name. Billy Wresch, current president of Mid-Island Electrical Supply, will manage the branch as vice president, Mid-Island Electrical Supply.

Headquartered in Commack, N.Y., Mid-Island Electrical Supply operates additional locations in Maspeth and Newburgh, N.Y. It serves the automation, construction, industrial, OEM, commercial, institutional and municipal markets in New York City, Long Island and the Hudson Valley.

Turtle & Hughes, established in 1923, is a multi-commodity procurement company with 2012 revenues of $518 million. With the addition of Mid-Island Electrical Supply, it now has 16 locations nationwide. It serves the industrial, construction, commercial, electrical contracting, OEM, export and utility markets.
