ISM: Manufacturing expanded in April
Manufacturing expanded in April but at a slower pace than in March, according to the Institute for Supply Management.
The April PMI registered 50.7 percent, a decrease of 0.6 percentage point when compared to March's reading of 51.3 percent.
This month's reading reflects the fifth consecutive month of growth in the manufacturing sector. A reading above 50 percent indicates that the manufacturing economy is generally expanding; below 50 percent indicates that it is generally contracting.
