Field Fastener, a Machesny Park, Ill., fastener distributor, broke ground on a 43,000 square foot addition to its existing office and warehouse facility.
Currently employing 55 team members, Field Fastener will hire at least 15 more team members in the next two years.
"Our success is rooted in teamwork. The better our people work together, the more efficient we can be," said Jim Derry, executive vice president. "This addition will further facilitate that teamwork and help us continue the growth and success we've experienced."
The addition will include new loading docks, a quality lab to streamline process flow and improve efficiency, and a workout facility and multi-purpose room with a fireplace, large screen televisions and video games for employee use during breaks.
Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) director Warren Ribley announced that the state of Illinois will provide a business investment package to help Field Fastener Supply Co. expand its operations. The package includes Growing Economy tax credits and Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP) job training funds to help enhance the skills of the company's workforce.
