WayPart offers distributors cross-reference service
WayPart Inc., an industrial parts search engine with over 26 million parts in its database, now offers cross-reference services to the internal staff of industrial supply distributors.
This service allows the inside sales team, among others, to quickly find products in their line card that are equivalent to the ones requested by prospects or customers. WayPart can quickly build cross reference tables from specific requirements for each distributor.
“CrossPart provides great visibility for any sales team. You now have a tool that provides information on current market pricing and availability of both the requested part and an alternate,” said Jonathan Leavitt, CEO of WayPart. “This helps convert more leads into sales,” he added.
The new release of WayPart (version 1.9) also allows users to track any of the 26 million part numbers and be notified of price and/or availability changes.
Another feature of version 1.9 is the ability of users to submit request for quotes for multiple products.
“We get tons of RFQs every day and, until today, users had to submit one part per RFQ. Now they can include multiple parts in the same RFQ,” said Leavitt, “WayPart will then help them get the best offer for each of these parts.”
