IWDC supports military foundation

In recognition of its 20th anniversary of incorporation, welding distributor cooperative IWDC is organizing a fund drive for the Wish For Our Heroes Foundation.

“Our purchasing and marketing committee, which plays an integral part in planning and executing our annual Spring Sales & Purchasing Convention, came up with the idea to celebrate our milestone and help a worthy cause. IWDC’s staff then worked quickly to develop a program tied into our convention to accomplish the mission,” said Frank Kasnick, CEO and president of IWDC.

“We bring together many of the best independent welding distributors and industry vendors to conduct business, network, train and learn from each other and adding in the opportunity for all participants to give to a worthy cause in recognition to this key milestone is a winner all around,” added Ed Holmes, IWDC’s vice president of marketing and supply chain.

Convention attendees will have multiple opportunities to participate including purchasing “Wish For Our Heroes” bonds. IWDC’s goal will be to create the biggest “winner’s circle” in the history of Indianapolis racing!

The IWDC is a cooperative, formed in 1994, which leverages the strengths of its independent welding distributor members across North America. IWDC’s 140 member companies collectively represent over $2.2 billion in sales, serving a wide range of industries.

The Wish For Our Heroes Foundation, headquartered in Noblesville, Ind., was established in 2009 as a non-profit foundation whose sole purpose is to grant wishes for active-duty military soldiers and their families.
