DGI Supply to acquire East Metro Supply
DGI Supply has agreed to acquire East Metro Supply of Monroe, N.C., a specialty tool and full line industrial distributor.
The acquisition is scheduled to close May 4.
“East Metro has built a solid reputation for providing top quality service to its customers. They do this with a talented inside and outside sales team with a family culture which fits perfectly into DGI Supply’s strategic objectives,” said Bill Henricks, COO for DoALL Company.
DGI plans to consolidate its current Charlotte location, including local inventory and customer service team, with the East Metro team shortly after the May 4 acquisition closing.
“The combined inventory will improve service levels and DGI’s broader product offering, business systems and automated procurement solutions will strengthen East Metro’s value proposition. We anticipate that the combination of our teams will create an impressive presence in the Charlotte market,” Henricks added.
Lane Baucom, president of East Metro, will remain with the company and will join DGI in a sales leadership role.
