MCR Safety announced that it recently expanded manufacturing operations with a new yarn spinning facility located in Puebla, Mexico.
This 120,000 square foot facility currently produces 20,000 pounds of yarn daily. Production includes Kevlar and assorted yarns to support glove, sleeves, and garment manufacturing. MCR Safety is the only DuPont licensee that manufactures its own Kevlar yarn.
The Puebla yarn spinning facility supports another string knit manufacturing facilities located in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
"This new facility firmly demonstrates our commitment to expanding our manufacturing operations globally, as well as assuring greater quality control and product consistency," said Larry Garner, MCR Safety chief marketing officer.
