Hydradyne to acquire Gatlin Corp. Seal Group

Hydradyne announced that it has agreed to acquire Gatlin Corporation/Seal Group.

Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Brookhaven, Miss., Gatlin provides fluid power systems fabrication and repair services, as well as hydraulic components, to the Mississippi, Louisiana and western Alabama markets.

The Jackson Sun reports that Gatlin expanded its business in 1989, becoming a Parker Hannifin seal distributor in its original location.

The seal business serves its customers from three locations, having expanded to Jackson and Covington, La., according to a news release.

The two businesses, Gatlin Corp. and Seal Group, separated operationally in 1995 to better serve the needs of each market.

Hydradyne is one of Parker Hannifin’s largest national distributors. It currently operates a network of 35 branches in 11 states, providing wholesale distribution, retail stores, fabrication and repair centers throughout the southern United States. One of its strengths is providing fully stocked local branches, allowing its customers timely access to a wide range of quality products, according to a news release.

“The driving force behind our business vision is meeting the needs of customers in their local marketplace,” Hydradyne president David Parks said in a release. “Gatlin has built a solid and successful operation and provided superior local service for decades.”
