United Central Industrial Supply Company of Bristol, Tenn., has acquired Gooding Rubber Company headquartered in Woodridge, Ill.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Gooding also operates facilities in Henderson, Ky.; Marion, Ill., and St. Louis.
Established in 1974, United Central is a full-line, full-service industrial distributor that primarily serves industrial equipment and manufacturing companies, mining, tunneling and mining-related businesses.
Established in 1948, Gooding Rubber Company supplies industrial rubber products to mining and industrial customers in the Midwest.
With the addition of the Gooding operations, United Central will operate 28 locations in Alabama, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming and Western Canada. The combined companies employ approximately 350 people.

He added that United Central is excited about the addition of Gooding's knowledgeable employees and highly experienced management team.
Dean Goldbeck, who has led the Gooding team for the past seven years, will continue to manage the Gooding industrial operations. He said customers will see a seamless transition because the two companies share a depth of industry experience as well as an enhanced commitment and dedication to provide superior service.
Past United Central acquisitions include Central Supply Company, Buckhanan Supply Company, Erwin Supply Company, R & H Service & Supply Company, National Mine Service, A & C Cable and Equipment Company, Triune Inc. and Persinger Supply.
