BDI acquires Gopher Bearing
Bearing Distributors Inc. (BDI) has acquired Gopher Bearing Company's St. Paul and Winona, Minn. locations.
The Gopher Bearing Winona operation will merge with BDI LaCrosse, based in LaCrosse, Wis. Gopher chief operating officer Joe Racine will continue with Gopher Bearing, a division of BDI.
"The addition of Gopher Bearing Company to the BDI family creates an experienced team of professionals that will expand our customer base and ability to deliver solutions to customers in Minnesota," said John Ruth, BDI-USA president.
Gopher Bearing has served the Twin Cities area since 1946.
BDI also plans to launch a new online ordering site, www.bdiexpress.com, in the first quarter.
Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, BDI is an industrial distributor to manufacturing companies throughout the world, with locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
