PIP acquires Century Glove
Protective Industrial Products announced the acquisition of Century Glove Inc. of Summerville, Georgia.
“Century Glove will definitely add some unique products to our line and will add capacity for U.S. domestic-manufactured personal protective equipment,” said Joe Milot, president of PIP. “We plan to move this production to our McHenry Manufacturing facility in Bluffton, Indiana, the home of the most versatile production facility in the USA for the unique needs of the safety industry.”
Century Glove is known for supplying industrial gloves and accessories, including custom bags, gloves and wing socks. “For us, it’s more capacity and more new products which fit perfectly into our flexible production model,” added Steve Robbins, president of PIP’s domestic manufacturing divisions, PR Industries and McHenry Manufacturing.
This acquisition represents a personal milestone for PIP and Joe Milot, who left Century Glove in 1984 to start Protective Industrial Products with longtime partner Wellson Tao.
