Lincoln Electric acquires RealWeld Systems
Lincoln Electric Company has acquired live arc welding training system manufacturer, RealWeld Systems Inc., and the associated intellectual property from EWI.
"RealWeld Systems' RealWeld Trainer solution offers hands-on arc welding training and evaluation, which complements our existing educational offering and strengthens our position as a market leader in welding education in North America," said Michael Mintun, senior vice president, North America Sales & Marketing.
"EWI developed RealWeld's technology to advance welding training and help establish industry-accepted credentials for welders," said Henry Cialone, president of EWI. "We are thrilled that Lincoln Electric shares our vision for the RealWeld Trainer in its ability to educate and deliver skilled, production-ready welders for the manufacturing workforce."
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
