Tencarva Machinery acquires Dixie Pump & Machine

Tencarva Machinery Company LLC, Greensboro, N.C., has acquired Dixie Pump & Machine Works in Brookhaven, Miss., plus a portion of Predictive Maintenance Consultants in Brookhaven.

Founded in 2006, Dixie Pump & Machine Works is a repair facility serving customers in Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Louisiana. The 11-employee company primarily works on rotating equipment.

In addition to Dixie Pump, Tencarva also purchased assets of Predictive Maintenance Consultants (PMC) that offers predictive maintenance services, such as vibration analysis, infrared imaging and PDMA online motor testing. The business portion related to electrical services continues to be owned by Collins Allen and Reggie Allen as an independent entity.

Transitioning immediately to the Tencarva Machinery Company LLC brand, the Brookhaven location will collaborate with the Jackson (Miss.) branch office to serve customers throughout the state of Mississippi. Both owners will continue to be involved in Tencarva, with Collins Allen serving as Brookhaven branch manager and his father, Reggie Allen as a consultant.

"We are excited to bring Dixie Pump into the Tencarva family, as the services they provide will greatly enhance our value proposition for customers in the western most part of our footprint," said Edwin W. Pearce, III, president of Tencarva. "We have wanted to expand our service capabilities on our western front, and this acquisition allows us to do so. Dixie is extremely customer focused, which is consistent with our philosophy."
