Columbus McKinnon names VP global product development

Columbus McKinnon Corporation announced the appointment of Mario Y. Ramos as vice president, global product development.


Ramos will be responsible for product development, engineering and product management. He will lead the product development strategy including the strategic planning process, product development execution, technology partnerships and product launch coordination. He will work closely with the leadership team to establish go-to-market strategies and portfolio optimization initiatives.

Ramos brings to Columbus McKinnon a wealth of success leading new product development efforts at Schneider Electric where he was instrumental in the development of products incorporating both hardware and software. In his leadership roles over the last 18 years, Ramos was also responsible for technology and product roadmaps, product management, strategic marketing, and partnership integrations. He also developed centers of excellence in North America and supported the product digital web evolution to improve customer engagement.

Ramos holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de las Americas, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University, and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
