ITW revenues up 21 percent
Illinois Tool Works Inc.reported total company operating revenue increased 21 percent for the three months ended May 31 versus the year-ago period.
Base revenues contributed 15 percent in the period, while acquisitions and currency translation added 2 percent and 4 percent, respectively. The ongoing improvement in base revenue growth was due to increasing demand across a broad set of North American and international consumer and industrial end markets, the company said.
On a segment basis, Transportation had the largest increase (36.2%), followed by
Industrial Packaging (28.3%), Polymers and Fluids (25.9%), Construction Products (24.7%) and Power Systems and Electronics (24.0%).
