ISA marks 10 years of community outreach

The Industrial Supply Association announced that this year's Executive Development Retreat marks the 10th anniversary of ISA’s volunteer efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Each year, ISA'sYoung Executives Forum hosts a community outreach event at the beginning of its Executive Development Retreat. This year, ISA will return to the Boys & Girls Clubs for the 2014 community outreach event.

The first ISA Boys & Girls Clubs community outreach event took place in Chicago in 2004. This year, participants at the 2014 EDR will team up with The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Austin Area to volunteer their time on the afternoon of July 15. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area is Austin’s leading youth development agency and operates 18 Clubs in Austin. They also help over 12,000 kids each year (and over 1,700 each day) grow into healthy, responsible, caring young adults.

"The annual community outreach project is a time for action and reflection and proves to be a great team building program for all young managers of industrial distribution and manufacturing. It is a rewarding experience in giving back to the community and providing a day full of educational activities and fun to children at the club," according to an ISA press release.

The 2014 EDR is being held July 15-17 at the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin in Austin, Texas, and is open to ISA members and non-members. To register, click here.
