"The agreement broadens our customer base, increases the aftermarket share of revenues and reduces the cost level," said Mats Rahmstrom, president of Atlas Copco Industrial Technique.
Tooling Technologies was Atlas Copco's distributor in Texas and the surrounding U.S. states as well as in northern Mexico. It serves customers in the motor vehicles industry as well as the petrochemical/oilfield, power generation, electronics and aerospace industries.
Atlas Copco and Tooling Technologies agreed to fully transfer the distribution of the Atlas Copco products and services to Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly Systems LLC in the territory. Customers in Mexico will be transferred to the Atlas Copco Customer Centre in Mexico.
In 2009, Tooling Technologies had revenues of $12 million.
