KIT sales up 46 percent
Kaman Industrial Technologies achieved sales growth of 46.0% in the 2010 fourth quarter to $218.7 million from $149.8 million a year ago.
Durable goods orders up in January
New orders for manufactured durable goods in January increased $5.3 billion or 2.7 percent to $200.5 billion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Interline Brands sales up 15.8 percent

MAPI: GDP to expand by 3.2 percent
The Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI Quarterly Economic Forecast predicts that inflation-adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) will expand by 3.2 percent in 2011 and by 3 percent in 2012.
Barnes Group 2010 sales up 9.6 percent
Barnes Group fourth quarter 2010 sales totaled $283.3 million, up 10.4 percent from $256.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2009.

PT/MC sales rose by double digits in 2010
Year-end sales data for power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) products shows that U.S. and Canadian manufacturers sales increased by double digits in 2010 compared to 2009.

Ingersoll-Rand reported that 2010 fourth-quarter revenues increased 13 percent to $3.7 billion, compared to $3.2 billion for the 2009 fourth quarter.

Beacon Roofing Supply reported first-quarter sales increased 10.1% to $404.8 million in 2011 from $367.7 million in 2010.

Construction spending falls in December
Construction spending during December 2010 was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $787.9 billion, 2.5 percent below the revised November estimate of $807.8 billion.

Emerson reported that net sales for the first quarter were $5.5 billion, an increase of 15 percent from the prior year quarter.
